In December 2023 my single ticket in the Western States lottery unexpectedly earned me a place in the 2024 event.

Over the coming months I’ll be documenting my journey towards this historic race, starting with a couple of days out in December: the first, at the Runaway Racing Chiltern Hills Invitational in Great Missenden; the second, along the Noth Downs Way from Dorking to Guildford catching the tail end of Centurion’s Winter Downs 200 event.
